Company Description:

Founded in 1997, Cathay Industrial Biotech has realized commercial-scale production of revolutionary products,including bio-based polyamide,bio-based DN5 (1,5-pentanediamine), long chain dibasic acids (LCDA) and biobutanol.

In recent years, Cathay has successfully developed the DN5 via bio-manufacturing and produced downstream bio-based polyamide with extraordinary performance benefits.

The raw material of Cathay's bio-based polyamide are from renewable starchy plants. It is the most advanced bio-manufacturing materials ever since the invention of petrol-based PA66 and PA6. Cathay's bio-based polyamide has been tested by downstream industries, not only as renewable substitute to traditional materials, but as unique and novel polymers for the textile and industrial plastic market.

Cathay currently operates two production sites and one R&D center in China. The R&D center is located in the Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. The commerical development platform focuses on research of molecular biology,fermentation process engineering, polymer material, etc.

The LCDA from Cathay's Shandong Jinxiang site realized commercial scale production in 2002 with annual capacity of 40,000 tons.

Cathay's Xinjiang Wusu site will generate an annual output of 50,000 tons of bio-based DN5, 100,000 tons of bio-based polyamide and 30,000 tons of LCDA.The site has been completed and production has started..

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing our renewable polyamide business in Fiber industries resulting in achieving sales and profitability objectives in Americas. The position will develop and implement key account strategies; develop new accounts and gather current market information in order to realize these goals with the objective of increasing market share and profit goals. This position will also be responsible for supporting order processing by the customer service team in Shanghai, China and working with the regional warehouse in U.S

Bsc degree above. Prefer in Polymer or Fiber Science and relative majors, with a MBA preferred, or equivalent. At least 8 years’ experience in sales & marketing or technical management experience in polymers or fibers with a strong preference for polyamide experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals in key financial performance indicators.
Continuously seek growth opportunities.
Maintain strong relations and market share with existing customers.
Develop new customers in order to increase market share.
Strive to be the first choice of supplier to any customers.
Gather accurate market information.
Review, analyze and report sales performance periodically (monthly, quarterly) against set budget and recommend corrective action to improve performance in the ensuing periods.
To be part of the management team and participate actively in business decisions to enhance the overall performance of the business unit and the company.
Work closely with production, logistic and support personnel in the company.

Requirements

Education: Bsc degree above. Prefer in Polymer or Fiber Science and relative majors, with a MBA preferred, or equivalent.
Work experience: At least 8 years’ experience in sales & marketing or technical management experience in polymers or fibers with a strong preference for polyamide experience
Skills required:

          Strong market analytical skills as well as business acumen

          Good leadership and people management skills

          Excellent communication and negotiation skills,

          Result orientated, strive for successful and good goal management skill

          Strong diplomatic ability to deal with various local authorities and customs

          Special qualifications: Fluent language skills (both written and verbal) in English; Bilingual language skills in Spanish is a plus
